LifeTravel Terms of Service

1. Agreement and operator

These Terms form an agreement between you and Lythos, established in the Netherlands, for use of LifeTravel. By creating an account or accepting these Terms, you confirm that you have read them and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 and able to enter this agreement, or use LifeTravel with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and promptly report unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to apply reasonable security. We may require email verification and may revoke sessions when an account is disabled.

3. The service

LifeTravel provides travel planning, collaboration, expense, packing, document, journal, social, map, weather, currency, AI suggestion, notification, subscription, and journey-sharing tools. LifeTravel is not a travel agency, booking provider, insurer, financial adviser, emergency service, or source of immigration or medical advice. Verify bookings, entry requirements, safety information, exchange rates, weather, routes, and opening hours with authoritative sources.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Lythos a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, encrypt, back up, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve LifeTravel according to your visibility and collaboration choices. The license ends when content is deleted, except for backup rotation, legal retention, and content already shared by another authorized user. You confirm that you have the rights and lawful basis needed to upload the content, including information about other travelers.

5. Shared and public journeys

Trip owners manage invitations, roles, and sharing. Editors and administrators can change shared trip data. Public content can be copied or indexed by others; link-only content can be accessed by anyone holding the link. Rotate a link or change visibility if it is disclosed unintentionally. Lythos is not responsible for actions taken by collaborators you invited, but server-side role checks are applied to product operations.

6. Acceptable use

Do not break the law, infringe rights, harass or impersonate others, expose another person's sensitive data, upload malware, probe accounts without authorization, evade rate limits, interfere with service availability, scrape at abusive volume, resell access without permission, or use generated content to facilitate harm. Responsible security research must follow the Security Policy. We may remove content or restrict accounts when reasonably necessary to protect people, the service, or legal compliance.

7. Third-party services and AI

Google, Stripe, Cloudflare, Oracle, Open-Meteo, and currency services may have separate terms. Gemini suggestions can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect and do not represent confirmed availability or price. You remain responsible for travel decisions and for reviewing generated plans.

8. Plans, payment, and renewal

Plan limits, currency, taxes, billing interval, and total price are shown before Stripe checkout. Recurring plans renew until cancelled. You can cancel through the Stripe customer portal; paid access normally continues through the current period. A Globetrotter lifetime purchase means access for the commercial lifetime of that LifeTravel product and does not guarantee perpetual operation or every future product. Stripe is the payment source of truth, and Lythos does not store full card details.

9. Consumer cancellation and conformity

Mandatory consumer rights remain fully applicable. EEA consumers generally have a 14-day withdrawal period for distance contracts. If you expressly request immediate digital service performance and acknowledge the applicable consequence, the withdrawal right may be reduced or lost to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory remedies when a digital service is not supplied or does not conform to the contract. Contact [email protected] for cancellation or refund questions.

10. Availability and changes

We use reasonable care to operate and back up LifeTravel, but continuous or error-free availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance, security incidents, provider outages, and force majeure can interrupt service. We may change features or limits for legitimate operational, security, legal, or product reasons. Material adverse changes to a paid service will be communicated in advance when reasonably possible.

11. Intellectual property

LifeTravel software, design, branding, documentation, and non-user content are proprietary to Lythos or its licensors. All rights are reserved. These Terms grant only a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the hosted service. They do not grant a license to copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, sublicense, or commercially exploit the source code.

12. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using LifeTravel and request deletion from account settings. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security risk, non-payment, legal necessity, or service discontinuation. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. Account deletion is subject to backup rotation, collaborator rights, ownership transfer constraints, and legally required retention.

13. Liability

Lythos is responsible where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, including intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, and mandatory consumer rights. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, Lythos is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, missed travel, third-party provider failures, or decisions based on generated, weather, route, place, or currency information. For paid services, aggregate liability for ordinary direct loss is limited to the amount paid for LifeTravel in the 12 months before the event, unless mandatory law requires more.

14. Governing law and disputes

Dutch law governs these Terms. Mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence remains applicable. Contact support first so we can try to resolve a dispute. A consumer may also use the competent courts available under mandatory law. If a clause is unenforceable, the remaining Terms continue to apply.

15. Contact and changes

Questions can be sent to [email protected]. Material changes will be announced and renewed acceptance requested where required.

Effective 18 July 2026. Terms version 2026-07-18.
